I originally made this granola as a special treat for my kids around the holidays-- but it quickly became a favorite.  My inspiration was cocoa crispies, but my goal was a more healthful version that I didn't have to feel guilty about feeding my kids or eating myself.  

The result is a ceral-like granola with an awesome mix of oats, almonds, buckwheat and puffed rice.  There are clusters and loose pieces.  It is crisp, but it shatters easily.  It is chocolately enough to make kids happy, but healthful enough to feel good about.  


Ingredients

Oats, Buckwheat, Puffed Rice, Almonds, Maple Syrup, Brown Sugar, Canola Oil, Cocoa Powder, Salt

Storage Instructions

Keep in an air tight container at room temperature for up to two months.
